Embark was done on Piper in November of 2018, and I did embark on Murray in January 2019 even though I knew his Breed and he’s AKC registered as well I was curious about his health results. Embark test for 250+ breeds and over 165 health conditions (if you choose this option).
- Wisdom panel is $85 for the breed only kit and $150 for the 150+ health conditions added on. You can add the health to the regular kit for a fee of $55.
- Embark is $200 and that includes health and breed (also cool stuff such as relatives and your dogs haplotypes) Embark also has breed only for $130 which you can add the health later for $100

Wisdom Panel
Pros
A good report of your dogs breed
Family tree provided
Genetic weight provided
Cheaper than embark
1,800 genetic markers
Tests for over 350 breeds
Involved in canine research
Cons
More basic
No relatives feature
No Haplotypes types provided
Rounded percentages (12.5%, 25%, 37.5% 50% etc)
Less genetic markers than embark
Overall I preferred embark because it was more detailed, wisdom panel was more basic however they both did a good job detecting Pipers breeds! Embark also has a relatives feature where you can see dogs that are closely related to your pup!
